FREEGROW Introduces Indoor Navigation Service at ‘Korea Build Week 2024’

Seoul, NewswireFREEGROW (CEO Kim Young-sik), a startup specializing in indoor positioning technology, introduced its indoor navigation service at ‘Korea Build Week 2024,’ South Korea’s largest architecture and construction exhibition, held at KINTEX on February 21.

The Korea Build Navigation (KOBUILD Navigation) service, built on FREEGROW’s Grow Maps platform, is a web-based service that allows visitors to access indoor navigation without installing an app. Users can simply scan a QR code or open a URL on their PCs or mobile devices to receive real-time indoor route guidance.

FREEGROW collaborated with Messe Esang, the event organizer, to build a comprehensive database for Korea Build Week, providing features such as interactive venue maps, exhibitor introductions, product details, and links to company websites. Additionally, visitors could share booth information or navigation routes via KakaoTalk, making it more convenient to explore the exhibition.

One of the key highlights was FREEGROW’s custom-built kiosks, which enabled middle-aged and older visitors unfamiliar with mobile services to search for booths and exhibitor information on a large screen, significantly improving the exhibition experience.

During the four-day event, KOBUILD Navigation recorded approximately 67,000 users, demonstrating the effectiveness of indoor navigation services. The platform also provided real-time data analytics through Grow Maps’ data dashboard, allowing organizers to easily assess the exhibition’s performance and visitor engagement.

Kim Young-sik, CEO of FREEGROW, stated, “We will continue to enhance our services based on feedback from industry experts and expand new features. Our goal is to develop a versatile indoor navigation platform that can be used not only for exhibitions but also in shopping malls, airports, and other large indoor spaces.”
