Venture Business Association Award: CEO Kim Young-sik of RoboFriend Co., Ltd. Receives Recognition

On the 16th, at the Busan Information Technology Association conference room in the 21st Century City Building in Nam-gu, Busan, a ceremony was held with venture business representatives and related institution officials to recognize those who have contributed to the growth and development of venture companies. The event also reaffirmed the commitment to fostering a new and innovative venture ecosystem.

This year, CEO Kim Young-sik of RoboFriend Co., Ltd., along with two other recipients, was honored with the ‘Venture Activation Merit Award’ from the Venture Business Association. The award recognized their significant contributions to the revitalization of the ICT venture ecosystem in the Busan region through outstanding research achievements, active networking, and technology information exchange in the field of ICT development.

RoboFriend, a research and development-focused company, plans to launch a high-precision indoor positioning service next year. This initiative aims to expand the commercialization of UWB technology while pioneering the indoor positioning service market in robotics and IoT. Additionally, RoboFriend is integrating autonomous driving technology into existing agricultural electric vehicles, advancing smart farming technology. By leading the development of innovative new products, the company is contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of South Korea’s robotics industry.

CEO Kim Young-sik of RoboFriend stated, “This year, due to the impact of COVID-19, most business exchanges were restricted, making collaboration between companies and organizations challenging. However, our efforts to expand and promote the local venture business ecosystem will continue.
