Seoul, Newswire – FREEGROW (CEO Kim Young-sik) announced on the 3rd that it had successfully implemented its indoor navigation service at Korea Pack & ICPI Week 2024, held at KINTEX from April 23 to 26.
Korea Pack & ICPI Week 2024 is a large-scale trade exhibition featuring eight industry categories, including packaging, logistics, cold chain, pharmaceuticals & biotech, cosmetics, chemical equipment, and laboratory analysis. The event attracted 1,400 companies from 23 countries, setting up 4,500 booths across both Exhibition Hall 1 and Exhibition Hall 2 at KINTEX. As the largest integrated exhibition at KINTEX since the COVID-19 pandemic, attendees frequently needed to move between the two exhibition halls, where the indoor navigation service proved to be highly effective.
FREEGROW’s indoor navigation service, developed on its Grow Maps platform, is a web-based solution that does not require app installation. Visitors could access venue maps and real-time navigation through QR codes, kiosks, and shareable links on their mobile devices. Additionally, attendees could view exhibitor details, bookmark companies of interest, and take notes to enhance their exhibition experience.
Given the event’s complex layout, spanning multiple halls and floors, navigating between different sections was challenging. However, Grow Maps provided an intuitive guidance system to help attendees efficiently find their way. FREEGROW also deployed smartphone-integrated kiosks throughout the venue to further improve accessibility. The system included additional features such as exhibition news updates, KakaoTalk route sharing, and multilingual support, ensuring a seamless experience for both domestic and international visitors.
Kim Young-sik, CEO of FREEGROW, stated, “Indoor navigation services will become an essential tool for the exhibition industry, going beyond mere convenience. We are committed to expanding our platform to be useful in a variety of indoor spaces, including large-scale venues and commercial complexes.”
