Rule-based Action

Turning decisions into action Rule-Based Action

When a position or status event meets a predefined condition, GrowSpace sends alerts and controls equipment automatically, without waiting for a person to intervene.

CORE LOGIC

The Processing Architecture From Event Detection to Automated Execution

The core technology behind this: receiving position/status events in real time, instantly evaluating them against defined conditions, and automatically executing alerts and control.
※ Actual response speed may vary depending on the connected equipment and network configuration.

📐

1. Event Detection

Receives position/status events in real time, such as geofence entry, proximity distance, and RFID gate crossings.

Method: Point-in-Polygon (PIP)
Complexity: O(n) per polygon
⚡

2. Rule Evaluation

Evaluates events instantly against predefined conditions. Multiple conditions can be combined — for example, 'within 3m proximity AND in motion.'

Avg Latency: < 100ms (Engine)
Throughput: 1000+ position updates/sec (varies by condition combination)
🚥

3. Alert & Control Execution

When conditions are met, automatically executes defined actions: notifying staff, triggering alarms/beacons, and stopping or controlling equipment such as barriers.

Logic: Finite State Machine
Events: Webhook, MQTT

※ Considerations for Deployment

  • Rule conditions should be designed around site safety standards and operating policy.
  • Equipment control requires confirming the target device's control interface.
  • Notification channels and control priority can be customized per site.

System Integration

Decision-to-Action Integration Standards

Rule-evaluation results go beyond on-screen alerts — they extend to on-site signaling devices and equipment control.

Notification Channel Integration

Notification Channel

Delivers immediate alerts through channels suited to the site: control-room popups, SMS/messaging apps, or alarms/beacons.

  • Output: Push, SMS, Beacon Signal
  • Latency: Immediate
  • Format: Text, Visual, Audio Alert

Equipment Control (PLC/Relay)

Hardware Control

Directly controls barriers, equipment-stop signals, and more over industry-standard interfaces.

  • Output: Dry Contact(Relay), 24V Signal
  • Protocol: Modbus TCP·RTU
  • Latency: Low latency

Technology Comparison

Automation Level by Hazard-Response Method

To improve on-site response speed and accuracy, the limitations of each response method should be considered.

Automated Response

The moment a decision is made, action has already begun

Automatically extending to alerts and equipment control, the system responds before a person has to step in.
