Questions developers ask first

What is included in each kit?
Creator Kit — 3 anchors, 1 listener, 1 developer tag, 3 brackets and USB Type-C cables.
Expansion Kit — 4 anchors, 1 gateway, 1 developer tag and 4 Z brackets.
How many tags can be tracked simultaneously?
It depends on the update rate. 15 tags at 10 Hz, or roughly 150 tags at 1 Hz. The gateway handles up to 150 messages per second. A common approach is to run a PoC at 10 Hz, then lower the rate as tag count grows in production.
What accuracy and range can I expect?
Average positioning accuracy is 10–30 cm both indoors and outdoors, with a maximum measurement range of 25 m in line of sight. Recommended anchor spacing is 15 m indoors and 20 m outdoors — indoor spaces need denser placement because walls, furniture and ceiling structures reflect or block the signal.
How many anchors do I need?
Distance measurement only: 1 anchor. 2D positioning (RTLS): at least 3 anchors for trilateration. 3D positioning including the Z axis: 4 or more recommended. A single PAN ID supports up to 30 anchors including the initiator.
Do I need to install an SDK?
No SDK installation or build step is required. Connect the listener or developer tag over USB-C to a PC, Raspberry Pi or Arduino, open a serial terminal such as Tera Term, and coordinates stream out directly. The lep command outputs coordinates and a quality factor as CSV; lec adds ranging data. Python example code and an Arduino library are provided.
What format does the data come in?
Listener (serial) — plain string output:
POS,0,08A8,-1.22,10.14,1.60,61
In order: data type, PAN ID, tag ID, X/Y/Z coordinates in metres, quality factor.

Gateway (MQTT) — JSON:

Can I integrate it with Python or other environments?
Yes. The system is MQTT-based, so you can subscribe from Python, Node.js, Java and others to receive position data in real time. The serial output can be parsed directly in Python, C++ or Node.js as well.
How do I scale beyond the PoC?
Start with the 3-anchor Creator Kit, then widen coverage with the Expansion Kit, which adds 4 anchors and a gateway. A single PAN ID supports up to 30 anchors, and separate zones can run independently on different PAN IDs — so the hardware you use for a PoC carries through to deployment.

What are the return and warranty terms?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery if the product is unused, complete and undamaged. A 1-year warranty applies from the date of purchase, excluding user damage, non-recommended installation methods and consumables.
