Busan, Newswire – RoboFriend has won the Silver Award at the ‘2022 Startup Investment Booster IR Competition’, hosted by the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
Winning the Silver Award at the 2022 IR Competition
The competition featured over 200 startups that had been in business for less than five years. They aimed to secure Seed or Pre-Series A investment for global expansion. After a first-round document screening and a second-round in-person evaluation, 12 teams advanced to the finals.
The final presentations and evaluations took place at COEX Startup Branch. A panel of judges from leading domestic and international investment firms evaluated the finalists, including The Invention Lab, Krypton, Plan H Ventures, KK Fund, SparkLabs, Enlight Ventures, Kingsley Ventures, Commax Ventures, and StartupX. Representatives from the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and KITA also took part.

EGG Map: Smart Indoor Navigation
Recently, RoboFriend launched ‘EGG Map,’ a smart indoor navigation app. The app utilizes radio waves and magnetic field data to provide real-time directions within large and complex indoor facilities.
EGG Map allows users to view a full facility map, including floor-specific layouts, at a glance. By entering a destination, the app detects the user’s real-time location. It then provides the shortest route along with an estimated arrival time. Currently, the service is available at COEX, similar to GrowSpace’s shopping mall wayfinding case study.
